Key Messages – Public – Updated Visitors Policies – Long-Term Care and Seniors’ Assisted Living Facilities  Date: August 23, 2020 The Ministry of Health, working with the provincial health officer, has developed updated guidelines to support visits between family members and residents of long-term care homes and seniors’ assisted living facilities. Changes To Visitor Restrictions

Victoria Chinatown Care is in the process of creating a detailed written safety plan for social visits. This plan must be approved by Island Health, prior to scheduling any social visits.  Our goal is to begin offering these visits by July 15, 2020.  An update will be posted once the plan is approved.  We are looking forward to seeing one designated social visitor per resident soon!
